Coach JonesAlberto Jones Jr. is in his 10th year at Ellison and his 7th as the head coach. Coach Jones has a overall record of 120-52 with 5 straight playoff appearance & 5 playoff wins including a recent trip to the regional quarterfinals this past year. Alberto is a 1998 graduate of Ellison High and received his B.A. from Prairie View A&M University. Alberto is a proud Panamanian and native New Yorker. He is engaged to Chiquata Wright and they have a 4 year old son, Alberto Jones III, who loves basketball and the Ellison Eagles.

Coach CollinsChris Collins joined the Ellison basketball staff in 2009. He serves as the varsity assistant coach, and previously served as the Junior Varsity Coach. His teaching fields are Government and Economics. He earned his B.A. in History from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A & M University – Central Texas. Coach Collins is a native New Yorker, and is married to Regina who is originally from Dayton, Ohio.

Coach LewisCharlie, who has been teaching twenty years, is entering his first year at Ellison, coming to us from Belton High School where he served two years as head boy’s basketball coach. Charlie graduated from Houston Jack Yates High School in 1984, were he played football, basketball and ran track. In addition, he graduated from Baylor University in 1988 with a BBA, after receiving a 4-year scholarship in football, and Southwestern Christian College in 1992 with a BA. He is currently a Resource Math teacher, working with all grade levels. Besides teaching, Charlie, with fourteen years of experience, is an assistant boy’s basketball and girl’s track coach, coaching with the philosophy: "Working hard prepares you for life," and a Christian philosophy: "Train yourself to be godly." Charlie is married to Ronda and they have two children: Charleston and Chloe, both who are in college.
